If there is one thing that counts when you are playing rock and roll, its experience. Its got to feel right to sound right, and when the Rock Island Rebels play it, its right. This exciting band has been going for ninteen years now, and in that time have played many of the major rock and roll clubs in this country and abroad, winning many "converts" in the process !

The Rebels material covers all the elements which make up rock and roll: rockabilly, rhythm and blues,  blues and country, fast and slow. All the members of this four piece outfit can sing, so the often-forgotten or overlooked harmonies on songs by Elvis, Buddy Holly and the Crickets and the Everleys are intact. Doo-wop is a main feature of the Rebels, and audiences never fail to respond to the delights of "Teenager In Love" by Dion and the Bellmonts.

In addition, the band are discerning collectors of vintage guitars and amps, ensuring a truly authentic sound for the Rebels. However, in order to meet the demands of any size of venue, the band use a state of the art 3.4kw PA with fully racked FX systems, coupled with integrated lighting, to give the band impact. we endevour to keep our P.A system upto date as much as possible,to ensure quality and reliability
